This weekend reminded me of how important it is to make time for fun. I have been really stressed lately— with school, having three jobs, blogging, and attempting to have a social life. It hasn't been easy. If anything, my social life has suffered the most. I haven't really even found time to catch up with old friends via text or a phone call.
When everything starts to pile up, I find that getting away for just a day helps. I know, I know, it's probably better to just get all of my work done and focus, but sometimes mini vacations are just necessary.
Thursday people came over and we had eggrolls (yeah, those eggrolls I mentioned in the first Day in the Life post), shish kebabs and spring rolls. Yes, I did eat them for breakfast the next day.
Saturday is where the adventures kicked in. We (my roommate and I) headed up to Sedona for the day.
We went hiking, got lost while going back down the mountain— we've got some solid navigational skills obviously, then we wandered around town for a bit. It was really nice to get away and see trees and leaves changing colors.
