BIG News

Yes, the big news I've been tweeting about is here, finally. Begonia Sky will be getting a makeover! When I started this blog I was unsure of where it would be going and how I would feel about it over time. I admit, I have let school take over my life and let the blog fall to the back of my mind. That leads me to more exciting— and personal— news, I will be graduating from college in December! It's crazy. I am going to be a real adult with a (hopefully) real job.

The Review: Prototype Vintage

To quote my previous post about another vintage store,  "Five years ago, when I was just a wee little thing, my family and I went on a trip to Austin, Texas to visit a college. While we were there, we stumbled upon two vintage shops." The other was Prototype Vintage.

The Blogger Meet Up

I recently had the opportunity to do a blogger meet up with some fellow Arizona bloggers! I've always wanted to expand my network in this area, and I didn't really know of any bloggers out here except for one or two. So, I was thrilled when Mo of Ollivander Mo tweeted me about this meet up with Kayli of Kayli Wanders. It was so much fun and I am so glad I got to meet these two lovely ladies!

Spring Break

As I've been getting back into the swing of work and my new classes (which I thought would be much easier...), I thought it'd be nice to reminisce about my spring break. I didn't get to go on some cool, stereotypically college spring break, but that's probably for the best.

The Update: Writer's Block

I know I've been pretty much MIA recently and I do apologize. I've been busy with school, my new job and trying to have a social life. You know that infographic that's a triangle and says you can pick two things out of good grades, social life and enough sleep? That has really been my life, and for the first time enough sleep was not one of my choices. That's right, I've been social lately. So blogging has been on the back burner for me as of late, which bums me out, but now I have more life experiences to blog about I guess.

I've also had a bad case of writer's block. I have had a post open about my new miracle product for the past week, but everything I type sounds stupid. So I leave it and try to come back later and it just gets worse. Instead of torturing myself with that mess of a post, I decided to give y'all a mini update.

The Review: Feathers Boutique

Five years ago, when I was just a wee little thing, my family and I went on a trip to Austin, Texas to visit a college. While we were there, we stumbled upon two vintage shops. One of those was Feathers Boutique.

The Weekender: ATL to PHX

I know this weekender is late, but I've been getting back into the swing of things in Phoenix. I decided I wanted to make the road trip back a bit more fun by stopping in cities I've never been to or haven't been to in a while— namely New Orleans and Austin.

The Weekender: Wine Country

Please excuse the lateness of this post, I blame my migraine. And also the fact that this weekend wasn't the greatest for me. In theory it should've been wonderful. I had good food, went wine tasting and got some really great news (news that I can't share yet, but I'll be able to soon— I hope!)

APPsolutely Amazing: Mallzee

*All opinions on Mallzee are my own. Photos provided by Mallzee.
Forgive me for that pun, or don't. We're not here today to talk about puns and how funny I find them. We are here to talk about an app called Mallzee. It's a shopping app that is personal, social and convenient.

The app is simple to use, first you pick your favorite brands and then the app brings up things you may like. All you have to do is swipe left if you don't like it or swipe right if you do. Then it adds the items you like to your virtual wardrobe. You can even connect with friends and essentially share your closets.

What's even better about Mallzee is that you can shop within the app. As if we all needed an excuse to buy more clothes, am I right?

Mallzee features popular brands like Urban Outfitters, ASOS, Topshop, Motel, Jack Wills and many more.

You can even narrow a search down based on type of clothing, color, brand and price range!

Other than occasional crashes (which happen with every app I have), the only thing I think is wrong with this app is how addicting it is. I often waste my days away virtually window shopping on my phone now. How could I not though?

You can download Mallzee HERE

Get shopping, lovelies.

The Weekender: Secret Bars and Secret Forts

I actually left the house this weekend (round of applause please). This weekend was lovely, we went to some cool restaurants and I got a fancy pedicure, but more about that after the photos.

New Year, New Makeup Organization?

For the longest time I was looking for a good way to organize my makeup. I was sick of it being spread out all over my bathroom counter. So, I finally found a way to hold all of my makeup— and it doubles as a workspace for me!
